The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.
The Lord of the Rings

Just arrived home from a three week cycling holiday through Holland, Germany, Luxembourg and Belgium. I think travelling is the one thing I love to do most, going places, seeing things- deciding day by day where to go. Only taking as much as I could carry on my bike, the essentials. Then you know how little you really need- I could have toured the world with what I had with me the past weeks. I think at some point I really wanted to.
Lets hope this trip keeps me happy until next holiday.

Me as a ranger from LotR.
Photo by a friend, taken at the Granchester meadows outside Cambridge.

The attention to detail is brilliant, yet you've not gone completely over the top and "prettified" the outfit as I've seen some do. A ranger's gear should be serviceable, and yours looks it. I love it.

Also, a cycling holiday through Holland, Germany, Luxembourg and Belgium? My idea of heaven.

Thank you! :) I've never liked the too perfect/clean versions either, so I deliberately used old materials (e.g. the leather jerkin is made of leather from a ripped up second-hand jacket). It's the most comfortable costume I have.

Except for two days of constant rain, it was indeed fantastic! Would highly recommend it. ;)
